Reminds me of the old Honda Nighthawks.

Not exactly a naked ST in the typical use of the word naked and bikes. If an ST went streaking, this is what it would look like.

Well that one still has the front fender on it so here's what a really naked one looks like.

Form should follow function and that's what gives the ST the look it has. But I do miss seeing the better part of the engine in plain view. If the 1100 and 1300 engines were ugly I wouldn't care, but they're not. They're beautiful and it would be nice for them to have more visibility without having to strip off the plastic.

So that is what ST porn looks like. I think I'll keep the fairing too.

This is a naked ST, ok not really but the ST and the Sabre share a lot of the same DNA.

Man that Sabre is still a good looking bike. Honda was so far ahead of their time....

...from NY to HI, eh? Must be nice! :) We're up to our knees in snow at the moment. My journey to Tripler can't come fast enough...

Been to Tripler once for broken wrists :( The intern getting me out of the car had a broken wrist... LOL! Spent 5 days there... scary!

Tripler is an interesting place - formerly a rehab unit for WWII vets and now a large medical center active duty personnel and dependents. And it is the place that Army medical staff want to be transferred! :) ...as opposed to Fort Wainwright LoL

Isn't it though !!! I'm still waiting for my new '05 ST but have to be honest. I am more of a traditionalist when it comes to bike styles. The ST is so 'done up' I had some real reservations about making the purchase but all the reviews I've read have been so totally postive about the bike, I decided to go for it. But that Sabre is still a beauty in my humble opinion.

I had a '82 V45... beautiful red Sabre. Loved that bike - wish I still had it. <sigh>

I think the ST13 has a nicer looking engine than the ST11 and the tank has a good stand-alone shape, but the tupperware on the tail end of the bike would have to be completely redone to make it look nice without the bags (those side cover things from the UK wouldn't do the trick, I think).

I always said that if my ST 1100 had the same engine as my '84 Sabre, I'd be a happy camper. Well they finally did it and made the 1300. That Sabre ran like stink too! Much better than the '82 V45 Sabre I had too. You're right, the DNA is there and I'm a happy camper.

I too am a big fan of "seeing" the engine, especially that big honking V4 hanging out there. Luv my covered ST13 anyway. Had a 83' Interceptor for over 22 years (original owner) and still think it was the best looking bike ever made, liked the Sabres too but the original 'ceptor was special. Here is some pics of my "baby" last May before my best buddy bought her and is keeping it for me in his collection.

There is a very cool totally naked ST1300 in the current issue of MOTORCYCLIST. A wrecked one that a guy totally stripped and put on a single seat from a zx6, little projector beam lights, and no bodywork except fenders and I would love to ride it - over 200 lbs lighter than stock!

Hey, STick ain't perty naked, but she's functional. I think an 1100 bobber would be kuul. (and 200 lbs lighter as well!)18582
