Elkskin Gauntlets on order as of this morning.
LPD refunded the gloves so I'm giving the 'Stitch gloves a shot. I'm not holding my breath that they'll fit but we'll see.

What model AS's did you get?
<D>
Mine are going on 10K miles now. I ordered them using the sizing charts in the catalog and they fit like... well... a glove.
I love 'em. I've never had a more comfortable pair of riding gloves.
LPD? Police department? I'm not sure how they'll be for pulling triggers as they're a bit thick. YMMV.

466's?...the ones with the knuckle protection but not insulated?
I ask, because there are 3 styles....I got the 466's and love them.

Yup, the 466's.
No insulation and the only other style is the elkskin roper in a standard cuff. Well, there are three color variations on the non-insulated elkskin gauntlets, natural/tan and black are the other two choices. Black bleeds...my wife makes fun of me when I have to scratch my nose leaving black scuffs all over my face with the Alpinestars gloves I wear currently. That left those out of contention. I also wanted to get a lighter colored glove for summer duties which took the natural/tan out of contention. I'll probably upgrade Dee's gloves soon as she is wearing black Alpinestars gloves as well.
The LPD gloves just did not fit properly...and that was after trying on three pairs of gloves. Extremely disappointed in the fit; however, Lee Parks Design is one top notch vender to work with. I wouldn't hesitate to order from them again! If they could get their gloves properly sized out, they will be one nice set of gloves to own. That leather was top notch.

When you ordered the AS's, did you use the size measuring chart on their site?
When I did, I found that I was ordering a 1/2 size smaller. I usually wear a 10, but ordered a 9.5...I'm glad I did because they run ~1/2 size big.
At any rate, I really like them as an alternate to the cyclon racing gloves I usually wear.
I only have one complaint (that I might have "fixed" by a local seamtress)....they should rotate the gauntlet so the velcro closure is to the outside of the wrist instead.....it's not a big deal, but it would make a perfect glove.
Hope they work for you!

Yes. Similar setup to the LPD gloves. Normally I wear a XL or XXL in other brands of gloves (Held, Alpinestars, RS Taichi) but the LPD was a small and the 'Stitch was a size 8.5.
I'm hoping that they fit as they should but I have such bad luck with gloves, I'm not getting my hopes up. Maybe I'm too picky with gloves.
FedEx tells me they'll be here on Thursday. I'll post up then.

Good luck! Keep us updated.......
I have the Aerostich Deer Skin, these are a great lighter weight for summer. Obviously not quite as much protection.

Gloves showed up today and I'll say there is probably around an 90% chance they are getting returned. I hate being right and I'm about done with purchasing any clothing online. By the time it's said and done, I've spent more in return shipping and restocking fees than if I had just gone down to the store and purchased whatever gear I was looking for.
Putting on the gloves, fingers strait, I can feel the tips of the fingers but especially the thumb in the right hand. When made into a fist the tips push taught against the tips of my fingers.
I'm defective and after an hour of this crap I'll have 'sore spots' on the tips of my fingers and thumbs from the seams in the gloves. That is the reason I'm so picky about the way the gloves fit. I cannot get the seams off my fingertips on these gloves which means, I'll wear them around the house for a day, then call 'Stitch to send them back tomorrow. I think the next size up will be too large.

Darnit...
It's more like 50/50 now. Ugg...
Dan, how much did they stretch out for you??? The knuckle armour is aweful tight. and I'm still worried about the fingers.

fingers have me really worried. I'm not convinced that they will stretch lentghwise. Width, I'm sure they'll stretch easy.
Should I send them back? I just need to try on the next size up!

Mine broke in, in about 200 miles. I have to say that they were not overly tight though...
I think you should ride with them for a couple full days before you think to send them back.
Anyway, now that I have some time in mine, I am really glad I got them. They are a good compromise to cyclon racing gloves....more protection than ropers...more comfortable than racing gloves.
Anyway, I don't think you can just walk around the house and make a decision. Go ride in them...then make the call.
AS will take them back if they don't fit right...even after riding in them a bit. They are great to work with.

Gloves are going back for exchange for a half size larger.
'Stitch told me, they must be in new condition to be returned or I own them. After discussing the fit of the gloves, the lady said they will stretch but she was concerned (as I was) that they would not stretch as much as I needed them too.

Stitch will have them on Monday, USPS Priority Mail $8 for shipping w/delivery confirmation and $100 insurance.
Here is a small comparison, though. The materials of the glove are very nice and the elkskin was extremely soft. In comparison to the Lee Parks gloves, the materials and stitching were one notch above the Stitch gloves. Hands down, those LPD gloves were the Lexus of gloves. Unfortunately, the way the cut the gloves isn't how most other manufacturers cut their gloves and thus, some people will have trouble with the LPD gloves fitting properly.
Now, the Stitch gloves being one notch down from the LPD gloves isn't an insult. Both gloves are top of the game imho. The Stitch gloves, however, are cut as most other gloves so once you get the correct size, you should be good to go.
The Stitch size chart states I should be an 8.5 but I'd bet I"m at the very top end of that and I should have ordered the 9. My opinion at this time will be, if you're at the top end of the measurements or in between with the Stitch gloves, go a half size up.
I'll post up a more extensive review after I get the exchange gloves sometime at the end of next week. If they fit, I'll be using them in the MS 150 next weekend.

Those 1/2 sizes are nice.... :)
The only complaint I have is with the position of the gauntlet closure. I really wish they would rotate it so the clasp is to the outside of the wrist.... maybe make it a bit bigger.
Minor issue...FTMP I am very happy.

size 9 just got here.
Uggg...these have to be like the LPD gloves meaning hand cut at the factory. The fingers are the correct length, the thumbs have enough space to park a truck in, and the gloves are cutting bad between the fingers.
I don't think they will work out and I'll probably just send them back for a refund. I need to have several pairs to try on to make sure I get a set that properly fits and the way Aerostitch wants to do this, that just won't be possible. Since they seem to be cut and stitched by hand, there is little consistancy in sizing making finding the correct size gloves a pita.

I want gauntlet gloves and the local feed store will have elkskin but I've never seen gauntlet style. Yes, that is non-negotiable.
Update: I spoke w/Stitch and we are going to try another size 9 gloves. They seem like they may be hand cut which would cause variation in size even amoung the same size gloves.

Second pair of nine's came in. They are going back. I am so baffled that the 8.5 gloves were tight when my hand was stretched out and painful when a fist was made yet the size 9 gloves are cut so poorly they feel like monsters. I'd actually live with the pair they sent me if the left glove felt like the right glove but, once again, one could put a coin between my thumb and the end of the glove on the left one. The right is almost perfect and what's interesting is that my left hand is slightly larger than my right.
My hands are not odd sized...the guys at LPD figured that one out after going over my measurments on the phone. Any other glove, including Held, all fit consistantly well through the size range meaning if one size is too small, I just get the next size up. Both the LPD and Stitch gloves are nothing like this...I just don't understand.

Matt, you need to change your handle to "GloveBoy"..... :)
Sorry you are having such a time finding something that works.....you're best bet is probably to start visiting bike shops in person at this point....

Unfortunately, I've been to the local bike shops and the selection stinks. ML Rickards just made the same comment yesterday about a recent trip to one of our favorite gear shops. It's funny how they have a ton of great gear but the glove selection sucks. This is why I went online...against my will....for gloves.
There are soooo many jokes that could be made about 'GloveBoy' so I think I'll keep my handle what it is for now. :D
Thanks for the update. More shares of FedEx common stock purchased.
They shipped to me via UPS and I ship back with USPS. Don't want you to buy the wrong stock.

I'm posting a photo so you all can see what I'm dealing with. This is a photo of the size 9 gloves. The size 8.5 gloves were so tight up against the fingertips in the open hand position, that when a fist was made, it became painful. I cannot for the life of me figure out why the descrepancy between a half size on the gloves??? Between the Lee Parks gloves and the Stitch gloves, I've never had such issues finding gloves that fit!
