Alpinestars Effex Boots?

Well, my old Alpinestars are about shot so it's time to get new boots.

I'm looking at the Alpinestars Effex Gore-tex boots and they look like they have pretty good features, including the ability to fit my fat calves.

Anyone have any experience with these? Comments?

:yes: on the Effex. I just picked a pair up last week and I like them so far. I did a 300+ mile ride last weekend without any problems. Nice spring day in New England which means it was in the 30's in the morning and 70's in the afternoon. The boots are very comfortable and kept might feet warm in the morning, but they weren't hot in the afternoon. I haven't had a chance to test their waterproofness yet, so I can't comment on that.
