Wanna meet in Wichita Falls on the way to Chickasha? I"ll let you know I am thinking about making the day a Iron butt Ride to Eat. Ride to the Blue Hangert in Fort Worth, in the morning for Breakfast and then head up to Chickasha for Lunch, and then home. Have not run the milage but I think it would be about a 350 mile round trip for me. Will keep this thread posted. Other wise sounds Like a plan.

Just look at the milage. 420 miles for me round trip. 200 miles from the Blue hanger to Chickasha. Won't leave enough time for breakfast and to make it for lunch. I am going to fall back on the origanal plan Wichita Falls to Chickasha. What time would you be coming thru WF. It is 110 miles form WF to Chickasha. I figure to be there in time for lunch I would leave here about 9:30 to 10:00. and stop at the Honda dealer in Chickasha before lunch.
It is a 5.5 hour ride from S.A. to WF.

Wish I could come, but it's too late for me to make plans. I love Jake's ribs! My mouth is watering just thinking about it.
I used to live in Duncan, and we used to eat there about once a month, but I live in Walla Walla, WA. now. It's still kinda cold here this spring, and we don't have any good BBQ here at all. Maybe I ought to move back! You sound like a great group to ride with.
I will be getting my first ST on Wed., and I am really excited! I need to ride down to visit my Mom in Meeker late this summer, and I will ride over to Chickasha to eat while I'm there. Maybe run into some of you then.

Great to see some old friends and even better to meet new folks in the STOC community. I guess I was the only one from Texas at the BBQ. Hey Texas Folk, where were you? Too full from breakfast at the Blue Hanger? You all from Texas missed a good Lunch. Took a couple of pictures. Going home in the wind was no fun. Average MPG on the way back to WF was about 37mpg and I was only running 65 to 70 most of the way. Average coming up to Chickasha, with the wind was about 42mpg. These are what the bike computer showed. Hope every one got back safe. Fred, looking forward to the next one.

I know of a good burger joint in El Reno...Johnnie's Grill. I rode over there with some Harley riders several weeks ago. Very good burgers (voted one of the best 100 burger places in America), and they also have great PIE for dessert! They had several varieties of homemade pie...I tried two different ones :p:

Well everybody....I finally made it back to San Antonio about an hour ago..:07biker: Total Mileage for the weekend.......1194.9 (Zumo miles)
Hey Mellow, did I end up the official "longest distance" rider at the breakfast?
What a great ride for the weekend!! Rode from OKC via Altus then south down 183/283 all the way to San Antonio.. Zero traffic...and the cars I did come upon moved over and let me by with a wave!! How cool was that..
I was sure I was going to catch up with Mellow eventually due to the 5 dead Turkey vultures I passed...:mw1:
Thanks again to everyone. I had a GREAT time. One thing I would like to point out was the abundance of SILVER at both the Blue Hangar Cafe as well as Jake's Ribs....GO SILVER!! :07biker: :07biker: :07biker: :07biker: :07biker: :headbang:

This is the only one I took up on top of MT Scott. Guess I will have to make the MEERS run in July to get some more shots.
