Good afternoon, everyone!

As of 1 week ago, I became the proud owner of a '99 ST1100 with just over 19K miles on it.

Gotta say, I am already beginning to appreciate just how nice this bike is! And I am also looking forward to getting to meet some other ST riders as well!

Best regards,

Ric

Welcome ric: if you ever get tired of that great looking black paint - give me a call and I'll swap you for some fast blue. Great looking ride you bought.

Thanks for the warm welcome!

One thing for certain is that this bike was very well cared for, as it certainly does look just about as good as new. I was quite surprised (and pleased) when I first went to check it out. And as I am quickly learning, 19K can barely even be considered "broken in" for this bike! The historical longetivity of the ST was a major factor in my decision to purchase one.

Yup. Just sold a '93 with 146K on it and it was running as well as the day it was new. The reputation for longevity, I hope, will carry over to the ST1300 too. So far so good based on everything I've heard.

:04biker: well its really called the rock inn. anyhow its a real old restaurant + bar (if u go out palmdale bl. and just keep goin you'll run into it} lots of hardley abelson riders go there. its kind of a hoot on sunday watchin all the hardleys wobble in. i cant make it out this weekend but watch the california part of the forum, im gonna try to put a calico ghost town ride together soon. thats out of barstow. well enjoy the ride ill catch up with you later :04biker:

Sounds like a plan! And now that you describe the Rock Store, I remember that I have heard of it.

Actually, the world famous "Rock Store" is over on Muholland Highway near Malibu. Rock Store Story (http://www.motorcycle-usa.com/Article_Page.aspx?ArticleID=1306&Page=1)
The "Rock Inn" is a little more of a locals place in Lake Hughes on Elizabeth Lake Road. Rock Inn (http://www.rockinnusa.com/)

Both have the ST_Jim seal of approval! :D .

Hey Hay,
Was thru Salida last Saturday, stopped at a couple of places on
50 and asked if they knew a fishing guide in the area that drove a motorcycle..
No luck..... Man, I love that area... The Arkansas river had a bunch of floaters
and fishermen enjoying themselves though :)

Gotta love that classic style the ST1100 has, it will be around a long time.

Not many people know the Germans designed the ST1100 for Honda, guess that's why it looks like a beemer in some respects.

Beauty bike Ric, I'm looking for the same bike with ABS. How did you locate your new ride? I've been using cycletrader.com without much luck. Thanks for the info. Tim Allen
