Well, I think it oughta be. Since I couldn't make the last one...

Hey! Shouldn't we give Alica another shot? Didn't she take a vacation right at the start of the last one?

I'm sure that it is Fred's intention to disorganize this event again. I've already heard him talking about it. I believe he is looking at October again. Sure worked out well last year!

Dana just gave me a head's up on the thread....

YES!!!

It is a go for 2008!

Though I haven't decided yet the exact date, I am thinking more in early Nov. than Oct. because last year it was a bit warm then.

So Joe, do you need a firm date? If so then give me a week or so and I'll come up with one and do all the posting of schedlule, things to do, campsites, itinerary, etc. Let me know.

I also hope that Alicia can make it this year and be the HoSTess With MoSTess like last year.

We had such a good time last year, and it seems SeaSTOC is a winner with the ST Campers. In fact this year I was thinking Carne Asada for the Sat. night dinner, etc.

LOL, I think all the extra warmth last year was due to the fires all over CA. I know that was a nerve wracking time for many of our members and more than one missed the event (SEASTOC) to stay close to home, "just in case"; I can't say as I blame them.

One thing you may wish to consider Fred, that as we progress to the later months the weather becomes a little less predictable. Just my opinion, but I wouldn't want to see it moved back too far.

Thanks for stepping up to the plate Fred. Many of us enjoyed this event last year and are looking forward to it again this year. One of the things I enjoyed the most last year is all the playing around with the digital cameras. We were trading tips and tricks and I think many of us learned some good insight on things we could do to improve our pictures. I would like to see that become a regular part of the event.

Fred,

It doesn't get posted in the Event forum until there is a *firm* date...

P.S.
I'll be in school and will miss this one...
I don't know if Chris and Jack will make it either...
We had a great time last year though!!!

I'm not sure what you mean by "the weather becomes a little less predictable"? It won't be to far in from last year. I'm thinking the first weekend of Nov., but I have yet to really look at the calendar.

As for the photography, the Salton Sea is I believe a great subject for photography as you have seen. So much around to explore and snap. I'm sure we'll be discussing it again, and I know I'll be bringing my camera! I can even lead, or someone, a camera safari to some really interesting spots there.

It doesn't get posted in the Event forum until there is a *firm* date...

I am very sorry to hear this Mark! I, and the other guys, really enjoyed you and your family's company! Keep us posted, maybe something will change, or I can adjust the dates to include you. Let me know.

OK, I understand. I'll be firming up the dates and events probably about 3-6 months out. So Joe, think you'll make it this year? That would be great!

BTW I think a camera safari is an excellent idea! I don't know where you come up with this stuff Fred, but it's a winner in my book. Maybe others will weigh in on their own ideas of what would be fun a SEASTOC. Would really be special if Veronica could put in an appearance this year at SEASTOC as well. And before you dump on me Fred, I understand completely the logistics that made riding impossible for you last year, I guess I just wish things were different so that the Disorganizer could enjoy some riding too. Maybe it's time to get a trailer so you can bring all the "event stuff" and still have Veronica there for some fun? Someone in SoCal should have one that they'd be willing to loan you....

Depending on what you need to bring, Fred, perhaps I can meet up with you and we can distribute the load among the two bikes. That way you can ride.

I told Fred that I would cover Half of the cost of the Camp Sites.

Hi guys and gals! I am very close to finalizing a date for SEASTOC II. It will be in the first week of Nov. 2008. This way I hope the weather will be cooler and still not interfere with family holiday plans like Thanksgiving. This weekend I will start updating the SEASTOC II forum.

I am thinking for the Sat. night dinner in camp CARNE ASADA!!! WOO HOO!!!

Alicia: if you are up for it then it will be great to have you for Camp HoSTess With The MoSTess. Meaning coming in on Friday and holding our campsites. I'll get you the campsite numbers later. It would be great to use the same ones we used last year as they were roomy and shady!

I'll be contacting the rangers and warning them again of our terrible horde arrival!

Again this year the campsites and Sat. Night Dinner will be FREE!!!

We'll be following the same event policy as last year; meaning just show up and have a good time. No group ride route planning, etc... Plenty to do and see in the area, or just hangin' out at camp and flakin' and/or takin' pictures, etc.

More details later...

Cancun............Salton Sea...............Cancun.............Salton Sea....................... is this even a choice? It's gotta be the Salton Sea. C'mon, man. All the cool people will be at Seastoc, not some miserable little spot...what was it called?......Cancun?......What kind of name is that? Sounds like a redneck food choice.....Can 'o coon......
