At the request of a few users, we've set up an optional automated site donation utility for anyone who feels compelled to donate financially to the operation and improvement of ST-Owners.
Donations are NOT required to participate on the site, although helping with the financial part behind operating the site is greatly appreciated...
The donation system can be accessed HERE (http://www.st-owners.com/forums/payments.php?), or via the UserCP under "Paid Subscriptions". Optionally, you can mail in donations as well. Please PM Mellow (http://www.st-owners.com/forums/member.php?u=865) for mailing instructions.

This is a GREAT SITE. The best thing I've found in the ST world. I used to pay $20 per year for the r1150R.net membership. Five minutes ago I donated $20.00 to this site. Come on folks. Its worth it.
Quick and painless......

So, let me get this straight. RC's 2nd job is handing out towels at an all female nude beach and Mellow gets to flip burgers at DQ. Hmmm. . . Something just doesn't seem right about that. . . ?

Sooo close...
Bike's almost together, Gary of PA is assisting me by allowing me to purchase his un-used exhaust pipes since Honda didn't want to play nice. Should have 'em around Friday. This site and it's participants have been an amazing help during this bike retrofit.
I updated my Garage list accordingly with RocketCowboy's help last night. I just need to get the picture in when it's done.
I can't wait to get back on the road, even at 115 degrees.

Well, you guys have already saved me thousands of dollars just by convincing me the BMW K1200LT was not my cup o' tea. Heck, the "how to get on the center stand" was worth tons.
I'm happy to contribute.

I'm in too. Maybe you should have a subtle reminder on the home page, or plan some kind of annual or semi-annual request. It's easy to forget to help support.....
Charlie,
After seeing all those pictures of my sister at your nude beach, I feel obliged to send you some "blinder" money. Please don't squander the money on beer and condoms, but spend it on important things like heavy duty eye covers. You can still ride if crippled or crazy, but blind is a no, no!

Isn't the speed differential due to red-shift??? I'm sure that's why the faster red ones appear slower than the blue, it's all Hubble's fault!

Ok,,, I donated 1 time to this board but,,, is there a way of knowing when we did it as to "Renewing" other than digging through a ton of old e-mail looking for the "Paypal" receipt??? Not that ANYONE has pushed about making it a annual donation but,,, if I am using it,,, and I am going to continue to use it,,, I am going to donate more than just the 1 time donation I did...
I know it hasn't been a year since I donated but,,, just 1 of those random thought that was rolling around my head this morning... ;)
God KNOWS,,, my Moonshine Lunch Run Threads are taking up 1 server on their own!!!

I thought it was time. I've been visiting for a few months now and just amazed at the level of people that post on this board. As a technical resource, it is priceless well worth the small donation. The camaraderie displayed and life experiences shared by all is priceless as well. Looks like I'll be spending more time here.

I sent you guys 25 bucks for good work, and servers are not free.
I use the links on optional site donations, but got the feeling that I am on the hook for 25 a year forever.
that wasn't my intent, I ment to send 25 as a one time deal.
do I have to cancel something now?

Thank you Joe & Charlie.
I get a lot of pleasure outta this site, and made some good chums along the way, some of which - from the Brit contingency - I have met personally. This might not have happened without your continuing efforts in creating and maintaining this Board.
I've just sent you a modest donation - via PayPal - as a token of my appreciation for all your hard work.
Thanks again chaps - I hope to get my Pan across the pond one day soon. It would be great to meet-up with a few merrycan members if and when this happens.
Kind regards

This is a great site. In the short time, I've been lurking here, I've found much valuable information. The "behind the scenes" work is not easy and at times, not truly appreciated with sites like this.
Thanks Guys!!!
Just made a small contribution to the site using payPal. This is a small thank you for the great help and info. Cheers to all those involved in making the site come alive

You all have sold me on the ST 1300. :bow1: The least I can do is send a little support your way for making this site possible.
Thanks!
Hi,
I thought I had made a donation via pay pal. Did I not become a site supporter? I am going to make another donation. Should I use another method other than pay pal that is easier for you?
Let me know.

Have been using and thoroughly enjoying this forum since acquiring my ST back in May. Had no idea that there was a voluntary donation program to maintain the site until today. Was more than happy to make my donation through Paypal. This site has provided me with every bit as much enjoyment an information as a number of the bike magazines I have subscribed to AND it has entertained me during many a slow period at work.
Thanks for all the wonderful contributions that go into this terrific forum.

The monthly average of site expenses is currently about $200 when you throw in domain name registration, software renewals and the actual site hosting.
Next month that will most likely go to between $300-400 a month as we will be moving to our own box and not sharing with TWTEX. There will probably be some type of service charge for the move as well but I don't know what that is right now.
We have enough right now to cover about 8 months of hosting and that's pretty much been the average over the past few months.
