Your kidding... right?
I've parked the motorhome there overnight several times, does that count?

I did some Googling, and over on rv.net, the topic of camping at Wal Mart seems to be what oil threads are here (http://www.rv.net/Forum/index.cfm/fuseaction/thread/tid/21143225/srt/pa/pging/1/page/1).
Although given the number of RVs I see parked at the one near my house, I don't see why they'd mind...

I bought Mobil 1 15W50 at Walmart. The auto section is next to the sporting goods section where they sell tents. Not sure if that counts.

Worked at a Wal Mart 13 years ago when that was the only job that was around (long story). Per Wal Mart, RV's are ok. They want them there. When the people get up, they think of something they need and go into the store and get it.
Tents are a big no no. If they did, every homeless person would live next to the lot. The night manager will call :policeST: if they see a tent up.
That was the way is was then. Not sure now, but I would think it is the same.

I have seen a lot of RV's of various size and shape at Wally's, but I don't recall ever seeing a tent at any of them, except in the camping section next to the auto parts where they sell Castrol GTX.

I haven't laughed so hard in a long while! Still laughing... Oh damn. Now I want so bad to camp out (pitch a tent) in a Walmart parking lot. Man, I love it. No alcohol would be needed. I'd be so high on the experience that I don't think I'd want to pack up and leave, ever. You might be a redneck if... you've ever pitched a tent in a Walmart parking lot. WalSTock !!! Think how nice and warm the blacktop would be. And, if you've forgotten ANYTHING... in 30 seconds it can be had at a discount price. Rollback baby!
Ok, here's the best idea I think I have ever had... I wish I could patent it - 1) a friendly Walmart location is chosen for WalSTock 2) date is decided upon 3) day of event we all meet up 4) we all go in to the store and buy whatever camping equipment we need 5) set up camp and party as hard as the local law enforcement will allow (a good time is had by all) 6) time comes to leave, we all meet at the customer service center to return all the gear we purchased previously 7) onto the next Walmart location!
Am I up way too late or is this a great idea? Next time I'm back in my hometown (Lewisburg, WV) I'm going to talk to the local law enforcement and Walmart management about letting this thing happen. It would be like a high school reunion for me!
just call me Red neck then. I've done it a lot with my camp trailer. Pretty sure they say it's ok except at a very few municipalities that tried to outlaw it. I don't think I'd try camping. Maybe find a 24 hr one and sack out in the tent inside, then buy some oil in the morning.
