It's hidden under the headlight... drops down and spins when the FLIR detects small objects.

Let me know when you're planning on leaving and we can hook up along the way. Will probably be at Roosevelt SP just east of Jackson, MS Wed evening some time..

My plan (if all goes well) is to leave Wed morning. I called BJ and told him to make plans without me. It will be down to the wire for me.

Are you riding all the way through or making a stop? Just let me know if you have a planned stop and maybe I'll ride through and meet up with ya.

Hey, no fair recruiting in other threads! :) Seriously, I've been down hard with this crud since Monday, and I think if I'm in this kind of shape by Wednesday or Thursday, you probably couldn't get me to show if it were being held across the street. Believe me, it's not that I don't wanna show up.

Now, who's coming to GermSTOC?

Oh my God, can Wednesday get here any faster????? I too am just about packed and ready to go. The panniers are loaded, the gear for the top box is staged in the garage, the sleeping bag is ready to be stuffed into the dry bag.

Just reviewed the travel plans with my Honey, just so she knows my itinerary.

Joe, have a safe trip and see you Thursday.

Mark, hope you get to feeling better, go get a bottle of blackberry brandy, get into a hot sauna and consume the brandy. The blackberries with have a medicinal effect on you, the heat from the sauna, (use lots of water on the rocks) and the hot moisture will really help, and don't leave the sauna until the brandy is all gone. It may not cure what crud you have but it sure will make you think about some other pain for a while.:D Remember:coffee1: :tent3: :beer3: :biker:

Half of my PLASTIC IS OFF!!!!

Brain and I were doing an oil change and final drive oil last night. Changing rear brakes and then we were changing the brake fluid and planning on the changing the clutch fluid as well.

Never got to the clutch fluid, there is something stuck in one of my brake lines..It is bled of fluid, and now no air is getting through so something is stuck in the line. :(

We are going to try pushing compressed air through it tonight. Keep your fingers crossed. Otherwise I will be the only ST that can trail brake as its the line that is part of the linkage system.

Its not a show stopper but it means if we can't get it done, we'll have to button it up and remove everything again at another time. A PIA to be sure.

Gotta be a piece of rubber broken off a seal somewhere.

This is my luck Mac when it comes to mechanical stuff..
I've got a good wrench on it as Brian really knows his stuff.
Like I said I still can operate the front and rear brakes, its one of the brakes lines that goes to the proportioning valve. (best as I can describe it, the "upper" line (there are 2) that is by your right ankle going up to the bleeder "valve" (the one before the proportioning valve) on the right side of the gas tank.

Wasn't there a recall dealing with that?

Yeah... just sounds suspiciously like it's similar... but, rather than a leaking due to a mis-shaped seal.. maybe part of the seal breaking off... Just throwing stuff out there.. once you run air through it I'm sure that will unplug it... I don't know if that's the right approach or not... I'd prefer just hooking up a tube and blowing through it... I have no idea how delicate any of those parts are.

Hi guys! I started out Wednesday morning and got to Cordin, Indiana. The next morning, I started out and got as far as Lexington, Kentucky. My friend checked the weather report for Virginia, and to be honest, I chickened out! The forecast said 6+ inches of rain and winds to 60 mph. So, I turned around in Lexington and started for home. I ran 4 hours in a torrential downpour, so I might just as well kept going east! I'll be interested in knowing how you all fared at the gathering!
