It's happened 2 times in the last 2 days.

Turn the Bike off and turn it back on after 10 minutes or so, start bike and the Trip meters and Clock Reset to "0".

Has not been a repeatable occurance, however the last time it happend , i caught a glimpse of the entire display restarting .

Bike has 800 miles on it.

"Bike has 800 miles on it"
Take it to the dealer.

Check the condition of the battery. I was turning the bike on for just a few moments at a time to check/test different elec. mods and screw around with the shield... battery got low and I saw the same thing happen. If you have a metered charger, you can the tremendous draw on the battery when you turn the bike on. If you didn't ride far or at high RPM's between the times it happenend, I'll bet on the battery. Maybe a problem with the Alt./Gen.?

800 miles huh? Sounds like the battery when installed did not get the proper attention. I am willing to bet that the main connection is loose.

Remember, bikes get put together at the dealership and well, humans are involved. I am willing to bet it will just take a minute to fix.

Pulled the Side panel, Checked connections. All Good.

So, I'm going to keep a close tab on it. I do know that the dealer had to put in a "new" battery when I bought it. Things that make you go hmmmmm.

Reach up under the cowling and move around some of the wires/connectors
up behind the headlight assembly etc... have someone watch the dash readouts and see if they flicker, could be something as simple as a loose/partially plugged in connector..

I have an '04 that is displaying some interesting intermittent problems with the dashboard. Every now and then, when I turn the bike off, the rider information display (the digital part) will flash on/off rapidly for a minute or two.

I figure it's time to bring the bike in for the electrical ground recall...

That is moisture in the display. Let it dry and you should be fine.

Long time posting a result , but hey , I was riding !.

Yep Bad Battery. Dealer lied to me that they installed a new battery. Fortunately they had a new one in stock. Geesh these things are expensive.

The charged back to Honda $97 for the Battery and $37 to install it. Are you kidding me !!!

Just knew "I" wasnt paying for it .
