LOL. I can point to a spot on the ground with my finger over and over again, and my dog will always try to see what's there. Great entertainment!

Got home at 1 p.m. today, rode back part way with Rich, and made it as far as Mount Pleasant before calling it a night, had it been warmer I would have pushed to get home. Some pictures from the camp cookout and a few from the road.

Now Mac, just because Bygdawg enjoyed some nicer accommodations does not necessarily mean he got a better night's sleep. I was in the one and only bedroom in the cabin with the door closed, and I could clearly hear my two buddies up in the loft snoring like they were sawing logs. They were so loud that I wore my earplugs in bed. I can only imagine how it was for Bygdawg since he slept in an area with direction exposure to the loft.

Hang on a sec ... got mail ...

Oh, now I got the scoop! It was Bygdawg doing all the snoring! So yeah, I guess he slept well afterall.

What??? I don't snore. All of that was coming from upstairs, but I'm a heavy sleeper. Thank goodness. LOL And he's right...I roughed it on the soft couch with only a few pillows and a quilt and some a gas log fireplace. :-o

Rule #1 - We ride.
Rule #2 - We make our own weather (some make sunshine, some make rain).
Rule #3 - See rule #1. :D

Despite some slightly cool temps, some gusty winds, rain from 10pm Thursday till just before sunup Friday morning... the weather was perfect! We had a fire every night & every one stayed dry.

I am trying to recall if I have ever called a trip off because of rain. I had to bow out of two trips this winter and spring because of snow (DesertSToc and CheapSToc), but rain has never been a deterent.

I have to agree, it was bad gear. I ran into over 4 hours of driving rain on the way back to Missouri. By the time I arrived at Mt. Vernon, Illinois, I was wet to the bone and shaking like a leaf. I had to stop. I'm going to look around for a better rainsuit, because in spite of what people say, Gore Tex does have its limits! Had I been warm and dry, I would have kept goiing.
