I noticed a few of you turned yer heads at Campstoc when you heard what sounded like a jet engine being fired up.

Introducing the MSR Dragonfly :D

I've had this thing for a while, and works very well. Its extremely noisy when on full tilt, but boils a cup of water in no time flat. Here is why I bought this thing. It packs very small, and you can burn all kinds of fuel with it.....kerosene, gasoline, diesel, stove fuel. You just have to change nozzle to burn the high explosive stuff. And you can simmer with it. Not all multifuel stoves have this capability. So the flame is adjustable from just a lighterflame to, well,,,,a jet engine.
It takes a few times to get the "firing up" technique downpath, but its really easy to get started.

The stove has an internal cleaning needle so all you do to clean the nozzle is to shake it. It comes with 2 different nozzles (for different fuel).

All'n all, very durable, fuel efficient, small packing.

I've got one too....
It works great! I bought a nice tray/surface to sit smaller items that I'm heating....and it fits the legs perfectly. (configured as is, the legs are far apart) Packs well.

I like the idea of multifuel/nonpropane stoves and this is on the short list with the MSR XGK EX and the Coleman Exponent. It's reassuring to hear that the dragonfly simmers as that seems to be the problem with the XGK. The problem with the Coleman is physical size but the cost is much better (and you get what you pay for).

Does anyone have experience with either of these stoves?
