Okay, been thinking about this a while.

What do you think about a farkle that has a velcro strip that covers the lower inside side portion of the top box allowing the use of the same dividers that som laptop cases use? Flexible yet strong enough to hold stuff in the top box in psuedo compartments.

Anyone think that would be a useful Farkle? The nice this is it is not bike specific.

Thoughts?

Are you talking about the lower side parts of the Honda topbox?

Well, any top box, the lower half of any top box/trunk... add velcro a strip(s) around the whole thing..

Then, use the dividers you see in laptops and camera/video cases where you can reposition them depending on what size camera you have. They could be positioned in different angles or taken out completely...

Just a thought

Not a bad idea. I wouldn't mind padding the whole thing as a drop in piece and then using velcro dividers although I usually have the helmet and laptop back there so they are pretty big so there's not much room for dividers. I guess it depends on what you carry in there. For me I carry bigger items there so dividers may not work for me but I still think it's a novel idea.

Now a farkle that I'm interested in and have made a feable attempt at is a pillion seat cover that wouldn't harm the seat but make it easy to mount a cooler/tail bag/whatever to the pillion seat. It would be level and easy to come on and off. Maybe with a psuedo built on backrest. The backrest thing is a pie-in-the-sky type feature but the easy on/off pillion setup is a desirable thing for me and probably some other people.

Not highjacking thread just suggesting something else. I have a sewing machine and enough talent to come up with something but my energy level is low right now. Need winter to set in. ;)

Linda can do just about anything. She was in Omaha also and has done fuelcell bags for the ST so if you're getting one she might have some templates ready.

She was there taking orders so I got some time to talk with her a little. Sounds like you should have been in Omaha RC.

The velcro for the inside is easy enough.

The dividers could be of varying lengths and all they would need is for the ends to have a 'T' with velcro sewn in and you could configure it anyway you like. Or, leave it out when you want to carry larger objects.

The bag idea for the whole box is a good idea too but then you'd need a custom size for every different box, but could add integrated handles so you could easily lift the whole thing out w/contents.

Hey, if one of you does this and makes millions just remember where you got the idea and float me a few hundred thousand... a cool mil would be nice too... :D
