Hi Folks,
I haven't posted here much lately, and lots of you probably never heard of me. But you should heed what I said in the subject line. I was going to blow it off - no pain, no other symptoms, nothing. But I'd always heard you should get it checked out. Doing so probably saved my life.
If you want some details, I've been keeping a blog account. It's what I've been up to lately. It's why I will probably have to miss WeSTOC, even though I am on the host team...
Feel free to check it out HERE (http://gotbladdercancer.blogspot.com).

I was in the middle of the desert (UAE) when it happen to me. Rushed right to the Clinic. Luckily for me, it was just a bladder infection.
Hope all gets better!

Thanks guys (and Raven and Chris) for the kind words. It's still possible to beat this thing, and that's where the energy is focused for now. WeSTOC may come in the middle of weekly treatments, so leaving town might not be an option. Will keep you posted.

Great news, all! Got the lab results and treatment schedule from the doc yesterday. As of now, I AM CANCER FREE. This is unlikely to last without treatment, but good news nonetheless. And even better, the treatment schedule leaves June clear. So we will SEE YOU AT WESTOC!!!!:04biker: :D

Glad to hear that things are going well. I guess we need to remember that we can't ignore the little things without facing bigger consequences.

Holy Crap Steve! Some how I missed this thread until tonight. What an ordeal. If you can't make WeSTOC, don't worry, we'll miss you but understand that you have more important things to attend to. Good luck and Diane and my prayers, but of course we know you will beat this thing.
Diane went through 2 bouts of breast cancer and is 5 years clear of the first and 3 years clear of the second, so we know the big C can be beat. We kind of ended up adopting the following phrase to help us get by:
"no bad news today so today is a good day"

steve im a little late in seeing this news. it looks like you and your wife are on top of this unlike the medical people involved. i wish you well, and will say a prayer that you recover and heal fast and well.
