This isn't a farkle as such, but I noticed how the bolts around my filler cap were grey with oxidization - same with the larger sub-frame bolts. So I got out my mini polishing kit and got to work. Did one at a time then replaced. I think it was well worth the effort.... :) http://www.nisbeam.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/images/fillercap.jpg http://www.nisbeam.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/images/fillcapclose.jpg http://www.nisbeam.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/images/leftsubframe.jpg http://www.nisbeam.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/images/rightsubframe.jpg

Looks great! Takes a lot of patience to do those little parts but it's worth it. What kind of polish do you use?

I used a mini-mop polishing kit. I got it here in the UK for about £10 but I guess you can get similar in the US. It consists of sets of mops that fit to a bit the goes into a standard electric drill. Each mop increases in softness (you start with the roughest first) and with each is a stick of polishing paste, from hard to smooth. I achieved the chrome like finish without even having to use tha last polish. I have used this method before & the good thing is that when you have got this level of finish it stays looking good for a long time. Less rough finish = less oxidization. :)
