I've tried to search and look for a review or honest opinion, but haven't found anything. Does anybody have one of these on their bike? My wife would definitely feel much more comfortable with one, and I want to make sure I'm getting a good product. Otherwise I'll have to buy one of those T-shirts that says "If you can read this the B_____ fell off the back." :)

I know people have these so I'm sure you will get some responses. From what I've heard people do like them and I believe they are well constructed.

Hi, I have the stealth backrest on my bike, very easy to install, just have to watch those nuts on the inside of the tail otherwise they will fall into the black hole!!! My wife rides with me and after getting this she felt much more comfortable with it on. If you are not wanting the trunk then it is a good backrest. Very easy to remove also if you like. I have not removed mine since installing, one note though I suggest you loc tight the fasteners as I did have one come loose and fall out. But all in all nice backrest well built and produced, looks like it was original equiptment.

Good luck Paul

I, also, have the Stealth backrest. It is great. Well made, easy to install, no complaints whatsoever.

I have it and think it is well made. My wife feels more comfortable with it. Once the plate is installed it is very easy to put the backrest on and take off. I only put mine on when my mife rides with me. Personal preference.

Good to hear that most people seem to like it. I wasn't comfortable spending the money without some feedback.

Another happy Stealth backrest user here, or actually my wife and daughter. Very well made, installs in a snap, and comes off even faster. Best of all, it looks like it's made for the bike. Highly recommended.

As far as I know the one drawback is you can't run the backrest with a topbox installed if that's something that concerns you.

For an extra $170 you can have a topbox for the price of the backrest... gives you storage.

Something to think about.... ;)

I have one, great product, heavily made, good quality, suits the bike, they have the angle pretty good..would be easy to modify to get some adjustment, will not work with Corbin or many aftermarket seats,,caution there....I bought mine from Pirates Lair..they actually make them for Sargent..Enjoy

Here's another satisfied user of the Stealth backrest. My wife made me buy a backrest, as she felt that she was in danger of falling off during hard acceleration. She loves it. Mine stays on the bike all the time, even though my wife now has her own bike.

Someone else said to use Loktite on the screws, and I'll second that. I lost two of the nuts/spacers/screws recently. Those 4 bolts are what's keeping your passenger safe.

Just looking for a little insight to the mounting hardware so I fabricate something along the same lines for myself. Anyone have any pix or an orginal pdf of the mounting instructions? Thanks!
