Dan,
Great shots!

No it's the mesh counter part of the AST, the Olympia Bushmaster.

Here are a few that I took, Vicki has more, eventually I'll get my hands on them.
Not everyone was out by their bikes but still a nice shot. Did we ever take over their parking or what?

A nice shot from an overlook that displays a significant part of the road up from the valley floor. Those were some nice sweepers!

Built in the 70s, she sure was futuristic in her day... stainless steel bowl, diamond plate foot flush.... they sure don't make em like they used to...

When you both were stopped at the gate on the East side of Hwy 2 you were only about 10 miles from the gate on the West side. On an interesting side note that I didn't know until I pulled the data up on my GPS is that both gates are almost at the same elevation, 6627' on the East and 6628' on the West. This link (http://maps.google.com/maps?saddr=%2B34%C2%B0+22'+23.76%22,+-117%C2%B0+45'+9.84%22+(34.373267,+-117.752733)&geocode=&dirflg=&daddr=%2B34+21.425,+-117+51.007&f=d&sll=34.373267,-117.752733&sspn=0.008377,0.007253&ie=UTF8&ll=34.36106,-117.801425&spn=0.268108,0.232086&t=h&z=12) will give you an idea of what you missed.

Yeah....I am working on an interesting technical problem right now.... :) Had to upgrade wordpress last night. Now I am looking for a plugin that will allow me to upload multiple photos at one time.....otherwise, I need to upload them one by one....which will take forever....
Sorry for the delay. I promise it's coming.... :)
<D>
PS: Trying to get this handled pre-departure for WeSTOC so I can quickly post things from the road....

Ok, here’s my second try at getting this posted. It seems that I can’t avoid hitting the close button when trying to switch from one browsing tab to the next. I hate having to do all this work multiple times but it seems that I am destined to since I’m such a bone head.
These are some shots of the road that leads up from the valley to Crestline, CA (HWY 18 Rim of the World Drive).
http://www.dmulk.com/bikes/dteel/2008-05-30/CreSTOC_036M.jpg
We stopped for a nice opportunity to take some pictures of the scenery. Ok, the wife shot a couple of me too. Don’t know why, she was risking breaking her new camera.

http://www.dmulk.com/bikes/dteel/2008-05-30/CreSTOC_044M.jpg
These two shots are some action shots my wife took, heck I’m not sure when, but I know it was during CreSTOC sometime.

These next few shots are taken looking roughly to the south from the Rim of the World Highway. Obviously, I spend a lot of my time keeping my eyes on the road, that’s why it’s so cool to have a pillion with a camera along. She captures some really nice shots along the way!

You can See Big Bear Lake in the background. We are headed to the Chevron station there for some gas and a short break to stretch the legs.

This next shot is on the road as we near Big Bear

And we arrive at the Chevron station for our break.
http://www.dmulk.com/bikes/dteel/2008-05-30/CreSTOC_030M.jpg
After our break, we head out on Hwy 38, some of the countryside is absolutely beautiful as you can see here in this excellent shot by my wife from the back of the bike on the fly.

As if we don’t have enough pictures of the bike parking area at CreSTOC, here are more.

Ok, now we got some riding in, it’s time for some grub! Here’s some choice shots of the fine fixings we had!

And if you think that ST-Owners can get together without some story telling… well, you have a very different view of our group than I do.

Walk just a few short yards from Dan’s porch and look between a couple of his neighbors houses down towards the lake and you are greeted with this view.
http://www.dmulk.com/bikes/dteel/2008-05-30/CreSTOC_069M.jpg
And with all good things, CreSTOC 2008 too must come to an end. We had such a good time, we were greeted by friends, subjected to many a tall tale but overall, we were surrounded by God’s Country and living high on life!

Bring a thumb drive over anytime you wish Dan, you are always welcome at my house. Just give me a quick call to make sure I'm home. Of course I live so close to some nice riding roads, it wouldn't have to be a complete loss if you rode over here and I wasn't home.
