I know this topics been beat to death, but I'm gonna ask it again cause I can't seem to find the answer using the search function.........Does the roady2 kit come with everything I need (besides mounts). I'm talking cradle, antenea, power adapter and such. I know I'm gonna need too get the mounting stuff (probbly ram ball stuff) but was just curious about all the basics. Also, anyone know of any good deals right now on the roady2. I found it for $99 at one place. Is this a good deal or should I keep looking?

It comes with everything for a car and hooking up to a amp in the house. You might try XM's site, they run deals like the one I got... $49 for the Roady II and prepaid for 3 months.

I got a converter to hook up to my ST... Ram mount and such too... good luck! :D

Interesting Rocket,

I used this convertor http://www.2wheelinnovations.com/Voltage%20Converters.htm

You should not have an issue, what problem are you experiencing? Does the power cut out and then come back later, or does the adaptor go bad and you have to replace it?

Sounds like a cold solder joint to me. Or, it could be a bad power or ground connection.

First of all what adaptor are you using?

Yea, that sounds like a cold solder joint, or a bad crimp.

If any of the wires are loose in the connection they will work for a while until they get hot enough to no longer connect. Makes sense with the heat.

If you are grounding through the harness I would tell you to change that and instead ground up on the support brace for the front fairing. (The silver bolt that hold the black support to the frame.)

Basically the answer is yes. The only exception to that is if you want to do some special mounting/hardwiring. I put everyting in my tankbag and got it wired there. So I did not need anything as long as I wired up my tank bag.

Charlie, I had some trouble with mine also. I e-mailed Linc and he sent me a new conv. to XM lead. Works great now.
