I just got off the phone w/ Cal Sport Touring asking where my small grip puppies might be, and they said they were backordered a couple hundred orders, but shipped them all within the last 2 days. They must get a huge hit when an item is mentioned and highly endorsed by members of ST-Owners.com! I just wish they wouldn't send an email saying items are shipped, when in fact they are not. The guy on the phone said it was a software glitch.

I thought I'd like the grip puppies but didn't...too thick for my small hands. YMMV. Fortunately it only cost me $8 to find out they weren't for me. I'd send them to you but I destroyed them taking them off.

Before putting them on, be sure to hold them up to the installed grips to see if they need trimming. (Mine did- I trimmed the innermost end.) Man, was it difficult to slide them puppies on! I thought for sure I would rip them, but didn't. Bones was right in noting how much thicker they are, but I think I'll like them. Eight bucks, no shipping cost, worth the try.

How do these differ from the Grip-Tek grip covers?

I got mine today. Several of the guys have suggested using hair spray to lubricate the grips and ease the job of getting them on. The hair spray will dry and act to hold the grips in place. I will try it tonight.

a little dishsoap and water... greasy weasle when wet, and a mild adhesive when dry.

Hair spray works great for grip installs, but I suggest using a cheap pump spray rather than an aerosal. I have put two sets of ISO grips on cruisers with it and never had a problem going on or staying on.

Do the grip puppies work with the Honda heated grips?

Maybe I'll give that a try... not sure if we have any though.

I'm still waiting for my puppies, so I can't tell you first hand about the heated grips, but others have given good feedback. Given the physical nature of the puppie material, and the amount of heat the grips yeild, my best guess is that it will be an improvement in that it will probably help flatten out the hot spots. Those things get hot... can't use them over setting 2 with gloves on, I'm sure there's pleanty of reserve to punch through a little neoprene.

Just got mine. I'll try to put them on later this week. I'm assuming that the end-stops are left in place and these things will stretch enough to go over them ?

I put mine on when I got into work yesterday... :D I have the scars to prove it  I haven't cut mine down, they go over the weights a bit but look fine to me. The feel is great. :bow1:

I took the bar ends off because the foam isnt that easy to stretch. Then they have to go over the origianl grips, which isnt easy either. I ended cutting one in half and putting only half on each bar. I have a thick section under my index and middle finger and thin original grip on the outer section.

When I pushed and pulled the foam over the throttle it made the original grip move and bind on the throttle, it would not return to idle on spring tension alone. :attentio: I had to remove it to get the throttle return back to normal.

So far I like the half grips, although on a couple occasions I noticed or attributed achey wrists to the new angle caused by the thicker foam parts. For $8 I can cut these off if I change my mind.
