Poor road conditions on 401 (Ontario) - Between Highway 6 and Mavis Road

The 401 between Highway 6 (Guelph area) and Mavis Road (Mississagua) has had the surface asphalt stripped off in preparation for re-surfacing. This has been the case now since March. The grooves in the road are navigatable. My concern is the asphalt between paved lanes where the gaps are as wide as 8 inches, deep as 4 inches and up to 30 feet long.

Take care if you are traversing this stretch of freeway, especially when changing lanes!

Travelers using the 401 will be pleased to know that this portion of the freeway has finally been resurfaced. That is the good news, the not so good news is the major road construction on the 401 around the area between WoodSTock and Drumbo. Some little delays and slow traffic.
