On Sunday June 15, I was approaching a recently installed culvert across the road, with gravel as filler. I had passed over it 6-7 times previously. Well this time, I was trying to find the smoothest spot, which was on the right side, slowed down to a crawl, hit some gravel, and down I went.

I broke the mirror glass, the mirror housing in 2, the signal light, the light socket and the bulb, the tipover bar cover, and put a crack in the fairing behind the tipover bar cover (it's hidden). I also lightly scratched the right saddlebag.

The few scratches on the saddlebag I can live with. I glued the crack on the fairing with Loctite 454, and it's holding well. I also glued the mirror cover and turn signal lens to get by until parts are ordered.

So, where do I get parts? From the local dealer for about $320 CND or ship from HDL for about $220 US and possibly pay duty, shipping, etc, or do I try to find pieces here at ST-Owner's.com from members.

The bike is a 2000 ST1100, color R114CU. Wineberry red (I think).

ROSSI - I know there's an ST1100 mirror on Ebay right now. Don't remember which side though. I usually order my stuff from Service Honda in Hammond, IN but I don't know how bad the duty,GST, PST and shipping would whack you but you could probably check with them. Good luck!

Julien,
I've got an 20O1 1100 and it is wineberry red with a paint code of R114CU. Are you sure yours is a 2000? Is it possible Canadian version and colors are not the same as US models year to year?
Regardless, I used Zanotti Motors (http://www.zanottimotor.com) for my "police" bar risers and a couple other small parts and was happy with their price and service. Haven't dealt with anybody else yet.
Good luck,
Craig

Here are pics of the damage. Got the new parts, (except for the saddlebag and the bottom of the side fairing), installed them. Been limping on glued parts for a few weeks. Now the ST is back to its former glory again.

CWDUSMC - Yes it is a 2000. Says so on the frame, 2000, manufactured 11/99. I do know that 98s in Canada were dark green, as Thane Siliker has one and I had looked at one myself before buying the wineberry red.
