Smuggler arrived today

I was cutting the grass today when the man from brown showed up, brought me an early birthday present. Had to shim the seat latch with two small washers to get it to latch, as it settles in I should be able to remove at least one shim. :biker:

Crusin, when I installed it and looked at it, it looked darker to me in the garage, but because of the nature of the candy paint, and the angles of the smuggler the light makes it look differn't. when I rolled it out into the sun and really looked at it as you get the same angle of light on the bike and on the smuggler they look the same. Look at the pictures real close and it looks like there are several differn't colors of bike and trunk paint. It really is deceiving. :biker:

I got my Smugglar and it was putrid purple, not even close to the '05 Dark Candy Red. Sent it back to Steve for credit. I'll wait awhile until they get the colors sorted out.

Gonna have to let the paint cure though (it really smells of fresh paint when I took it out the box). Anyway after I came down from the ceiling I took a few piccies before the assemblage!

When mine arrived a month ago, the painter and I dis-assembled it for the custom paint. We found that the fiberglass was cracked at the mount holes for the pad and finish of the layup was lacking. We had to fill and refine the glass before re-painting. We're down to wet sanding and polishing this week, should be sweet when it's done.
