It has come to my attention that many of the ST riders also own a KLR as a second, third, etc. bike. So just as a light hearted something to do I thought I would start the KLRST club. What do you get for being a member. Not Much. You will get a # assigned by me and I will TRY to keep a data base. Rules to be a member are:
1. You must own a KLR and a ST together
KLR can be any year and a 250 or a 650
ST can be a 1100 or a 1300
2. Must give Name (First and Last) and City and State
3. STOC# is preferred but not required to receive a KLRST#
If you want to get a STOC# go to www.st1100.org (http://www.st1100.org) and register for your STOC#
4. Be willing to ride and post pictures of your KLR.
5. End of Rules.

OK, Call the Sub Forum the Dirty Club. And a STOC# will be preferred but not required to receive a KLRST#. Obviously anybody with a dual sport dirt bike is welcome and can be listed but a KLR/ST's will receive a # on the data base. Corrections have been made to original post.

Okay... I added 'The Dirty Club (http://www.st-owners.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=290)' under 'Other Motorcycles'.
If there's a ton of info.. we can split that into manufacturer or model sub forums.
My only requirement is that everyone if allowed to participate whether they are on the database or not, which is in-line with how the rest of the site is run. Just to keep things consistent.

Couple of glitches, but nothing insurmountable. Still not sure why the main fuse blew, but it hasn't recurred and the chain problem really was the tech who installed the master link (I think) wrong.

The fuse if it was a stock glass fuse breaks from vibration, Most replace with the newer fuse type, Put a rivet link on the chain, Never trust a master link, Just my 2 cents,,,,

If you want to get a STOC# go to www.st1100.org (http://www.st1100.org/) and register for your STOC#
4. Be willing to ride and post pictures of your KLR.
5. End of Rules.

Yep, I have had a couple of DooHicky Clinics at my place. (see webshots) Changed mine as soon as I bought the bike. 16500 mile on the new Doo, no problems.
