New Albums

Part of this new upgrade contains a gallery in the base software, that's a great thing for us admins that have been juggling between the forum software and separate gallery software.

This new gallery isn't as robust as the existing ones but, it will get better.

The OLD gallery is the 'gallery' link you'll see at the upper right side of the site on the blue nav bar.

The NEW gallery will be accessed by going into your usercp link and there will be a Pictures & Albums link. From there, you can create albums and upload pictures.

The cool part is the random thumbnails on the home page are pulled from all of the albums so I don't need to manage that myself anymore. Also, if you click the pic you'll get the member / album / description of that pic and can get more info about it if needed.

I'll leave the OLD gallery around for a while but I would like to urge you to move those pics over to the newer gallery. Sorry, I don't have any quick migration option at the moment. If I find one, I'll run it.

That new gallery is just too cool, Joe. Motovated me to put up some ST only pics (or mostly so:)) to show.

So. How do I direct other members to my gallery? Link to same? How do I access other peoples gallery? Like if I wanted to browse your pics, say?

Tom, they made it real easy. With pics in yur gallery, a camera appears in yur avatar box. Click the camera and it displays your "cover" foto with a hot link to the full album. From now on, when ya see a camera on someone's avatar box, you can click it for the show.

Once you look at anyones ablum.. if you look at the top part of the screen, you'll see something that looks like:

ST-Owners.com Forums > All Albums > Mellow's Profile > Albums

If you click the 'All Albums' link, you'll see all the albums that everyone has created.
