Just got back from EaSTOC, great trip!... Very long day yesterday going from the gap area through georgia, Alabama, Tennessee to get to the Natchez Trace... then, after 50 miles in 85 degree weather and 1000000% humidity and a 50 mph speed limit, I decided to get off and hit the super slab.

Believe it or not, I was getting some serious heat off the Wing... LOL.. now, there's a twist..

I'll post a few pics later.

It was great meeting some I've never met before and those I've already met. Perfect weather, again, more later...

I got suckered into taking that up to my inlaws once... 50mph don't cut it after a while.

Glad you had a great time and made it back OK... look forward to your pics :D

Mellow,

Glad to see that you made it back safe and sound. It was a real pleasure meeting you, riding with you and having lunch on Friday! Boy, you handled that Wing real nice on those twisties on 209 to Hot Springs. Sure is nice bike and I LOVED the Start Up sound files. Hilarious!

I made it to Boone pretty close to 4 because of the route Gary gave me. Worked out great and had a real good time with my aunt and uncle. Got back yesterday myself.

Hope to see you next year at a STOC event!

Chris

Mellow, it was great meeting you Thursday. I hated that Steve and myself couldn't stay longer as we were really enjoying talking to the few that were there then. I guess everyone got a kick out of seeing us try and push the ST up the hill so I could try to get it running.....just remeber to alwaqys turn off the switch when you are going to be sitting around for a few hours talking!

Yes, most enjoyable. And nice meeting some of the guys from the owners forum; and some guy named Joe even showed up.. Sandman and I got an "alpine" start home sat am. We weren't all that eager to leave the pleasant mtn air, so we took a shortcut through Suches. We were truely touched by the friendly group of GA troupers that wanted us to stay longer. Really, that was so nice.

This was my first STOC event and I had a great time. I did have the cutest riding partner there, though, and she made it all the more enjoyable.

Hey guys....I just made it home at 3:00AM this morning and then had to work, but here I am. I had a great time ridin with sandman and MikeP1300 on Friday. They showed me some great roads out there, but they couldn't find the dragon......."Where's the Dragon?". So, I took Saturday by myself and did some searchin for the dragon. Went out 19 to Cherokee then cut across the Great Smokey Mountain National Park, Through Gatlinburg, Valley Forge, and eventually to the Foothills Parkway in TN. Then......outta nowhere.....THERE HE WAS......the dragon! That has got to be the most fun road I have ever been on. Once I made it to Deal's Gap and took a left on 28 to get back to Ironhorse, I found another awesome stretch of road. Man, those roads out there are awesome. Here's some of my pix.
I even included one at the end of Joe's favorite Truck Stop.
