Let's Brainstorm! There's a game here waiting to happen....
In no particular order.....
So you want to play "Tag", huh?
How about using a SPOT device?
I posted a little thread about this somewhere earlier, but I thought it would be cool to somehow incorporate a SPOT device into a motorcycle based relay.
I was thinking that it would be fun to start the relay off and maybe have the game play out in a "Hide and Seek" / "Tag" type scenario.
A rider could get the SPOT by finding the member currently in possession of the device...maybe giving a password? (Maybe engrave the password on the unit?)
The member currently in possession of the device could post hints / locations where they will be heading... Maybe he/she also had the discretion of "gifting" the device to someone without the password.
If a rider that isn't in possession of the device asks for it using the correct password, it must be surrendered?
Someone posted that SPOT's tracking site only holds enough data f
or a limited amount of time (maybe if the company supports this, there might be a work around!).
If we can come up with some rules for the game, I'll be happy to contact SPOT and see if they are interested in sponsoring us somehow....
Heck....this could even go as big as other forums (ADV / FJR /ETC).
Maybe their marketing guys could get involved and offer some prizes....
Who knows..... I just think it would be really cool to "watch" this thing travel around and try and intercept it.....
