It's good to have mates with machining skills and a Pan :)

This is a variation of the threaded bar through steering stem that I've seen elsewhere on the forum.

We both had Ram mounts with the fitting for tubular bars, so rather than buy a new ball fitting for the base we machined up a brass piece to accept the ball fitting. This is threaded and locked with a nut. The collar for the top of the steering stem is also threaded and stepped so it fits into the stem hole. This allows for height adjustment. At the bottom is another brass collar which is not threaded and retained by lock nuts.
The rest is as the original farkle, with the Honda badge removed and a hole drilled through to keep things neat.
The photos explain it better.

Peter had both sets made in under an hour :) and we had them fitted in less than 20 minutes.
