Just heard a small "blip" on our local news last night. Has anyone else heard anything about this? Click Baldwin, longtime owner of Gastonia NC HD and general good guy was airlifted to a Missoula MT hospital yesterday. He had been attending the HD dealers show in Vegas and was heading to Sturgis with a group of riders. The news said that he passed in a no passing zone and struck an oncoming car! Injuries were described as severe head and internal trauma. Please say a prayer for Click.

Dang, I hate when that happens. My prayers to his family and friends.
Boy, it's not like I haven't passed on the yellow. And recently.

Prayers go out to his family. According to the article it sounds like he was one heck of a guy.
It is also eerie that the drivers last name of the car that he hit was Davidson.

Always a sad event. A co-worker is heading up there on his HD Friday morning. I think he is cautious like me, but I may send him the story.
Tough to be safe every minute, but each of us is the only one that can do it for us. This reminded me of the story earlier in the Summer, where the whole group passed...into a vehicle's path. Took out about eight Bikes!
My prayers go out to his family, friends and co-workers.
I always hate to hear news like this...everyone please ride safe!!!

Montana does not require helmets of you are over the age of 18. Does anyone know if he was wearing one at the time of the crash?

A helmet may not have helped much if he had major internal injuries. I have passed over a double yellow at various times. I have tried to make sure it was "safe" to do so.

Yeah, I echo everyone's comments. It's a horrible tragedy.
I've passed over yellow before as well. It's always when I feel it's safe, but I'm sure he felt it was safe as well. I'll think twice before I do it again.

Sad when someone makes it their last ride, forever.
