I picked up my STeed STicks from the powder coater today. Cost of powder coating was $25.

I will get them installed over the weekend and post some more pictures of how they look installed.

I realy like the way they turned out. The finish is very hard and should be much more resistant to chipping than just painting them. I am going to have to clean some of powder coating off of the hardware to make everything fit just right.

I will give a report on how that goes.

Picture 1 shows the parts that were powdered coated. Then there are 2 pictures one with flash - one without showing the mounting brackets with the formerly chromed parts.

Well I had planned on getting this totally done today -- but the pool and several pool side cocktails at the country club have precluded me from finishing the job.

Before I got sidetracked at the pool I did prep the STeed STicks for install. I learned a lesson -- if you powder coat the STeed Stickes you need to tape off the parts where the hardware comes together. Because if it fits before powder coating - it won't after powder coating --

No problem -- just got out the dremel and used a very fine grinder to remove the powder coat down to the chrome for attaching all hardware. See attached pictures of the finished product.

I have a unique solution for making the cuts to the engine guard cowls. I will post pictures of that part tomorrow.

Sorry I don't have pictures of the Pool -- :D
