View Full Version : Ordered my new seat today!
After much thought I ordered a Rick Mayer seat today. I decided on the Mayer seat for several reasons. First I didn't want an off the shelf solution , I've tried Corbins and Sargents in the past and they were hit or miss.. I did get to try a Corbin and it is hard..It might break in butt.... I think the Sargent is a bit pricey for an off the shelf seat.. I think a few years back they were much more reasonable. I've had Russell seat in the past and they where awesome but their lead time was too long and they don't have seat pans so I'd have to ship mine in, and loose riding time. Plus even though they are comfortable, maybe the best.. they are a bit ugly. So I went with Rick Mayers seat. Cost is $471.00 in leather with shipping. He has me scheduled for an August 1st build so the wait isn't much more than a Corbin or Sargent. He has stock ST seat pans so no down time, and with all of the photos and discussions I should have a very comfy seat! I'll give a full report when it arrives.

Hi. I've riden on the Rick Mayer seat for about 1 1/2 years now. It's the best money spent and should be first thing you upgrade in MHO.The wife likes the seat too. :D :03biker:
