Since we are starting to break into song....

Stopped into a church, I passed along the way, and I got down on my knees and I began to pray. You know the preacher lites the coals, he knows I gonna stay, California Dreaming of such a perfect day......:)

29 folks on the WS10 list. I can pick everybody out so far but I am gonna suggest that we do a I am going list here also so we can know who to look for.

Planning:

Folks have been real helpful for the trip West and then into SLO John (JNSGARDNER) is in San Diego and Al and I will probably meet up with him for the trip North, Tim (STPilot) and Tom (Ride-on) have offered to make suggestions and even ride the SLO, Tahoe leg.:bow1:

I am now asking all the "STowners" to plan on at least a beer and/or a BS session from SLO. We can get Charlie to post the chat that night and the SLO gang can pick on those that did not/ could not come.

If GeorgeGeorge is there, we can wave shiny objects to distract him and get Beer.

OK, From Tahoe across Utah to Grand Junction. I am ready for sugestions. No Interstate unless it is actually the best (most senic).

I want at least 1 day of "best of" type riding in western CO and then down to Durango an into New Mexico the day after that. Probably a direct but non interstate route to El Paso to hit I-10 for the final 1200 miles home.

This is looking like a 14 day, 5000 + mile trip and I am really stoked..... (note California type talk)

If I get back with usable rubber on the 020's I have failed......

Only 47 days until WeSTOC! Lots of people have hotel reservations but haven't yet registered for WeSTOC or bought banquet tickets.

I've got bad news (for me) today. I have an GoodGUys/NHRA event to do in WA the weekend previous to WeSTOC. So, I may not make it this year. I was looking forward to joining a group coming down from Canada and taking the 1/101 all the way down the coast - but since I won't be able to leave Seattle area until Sunday night and get back to Spokane 5 or 6 hours later, I would be able to leave until Monday afternoon at the earliest.

However, I may just pack the ST into the truck and take the trailer and truck to Portland afterward the event. Then I could unload the bike and make the ralley and just pick the truck up on the way home... we'll see. I still have to talk my wife into it...

Heck, you have plenty of time. WeSTOC doesn't actually start until Tuesday afternoon!

If you miss it, you'll be extremely sorry.
