Arrived home safely early this morning (~1215). It was a long and tiring ride. I got all the pictures posted in an album for 666STOC on 8/8/08 (http://www.st-owners.com/forums/album.php?albumid=210). I sure hope everyone enjoys the shots. I know I enjoyed taking them!

Thank you Mark, sure wish you could have made it. I know you are keeping your nose to the grindstone. Thought about you when we passed through Tucson.

Thank you for the fine complement.

Ed, I though that Carole probably had that well covered. I go for broader venues. LOL

Ah, and that's exactly why I take all of those pictures! I find that when I review them they bring back the feeling that I was experiencing when they were taken. Sort of little time capsule snippets.
My only wish is that my beautiful wife could have joined me to experience it with me. Damn work!

Dana, Carole is really upset that you have not only posted pictures, but labeled them as well. She's just unloading her 3 cards and cropping them. She still has to downsize them and label them. The shots you posted are super. Carole had to put in a new card in her camera during the sunset last evening.
Ed, Carole has the horny toad and humming birds on one of the cards and is still unloading them to the computer. She took upwards of 800 pictures.
I think I took a total of 10 pictures while we were on this 4 day trip.

Nice shots Dana! Dave (Beemer friend) and I enjoyed the meet, a little wet hear-n-there but still a good ride for sure. Enjoyed the company as usual. Left Springerville @7:30 this am and was home at 10:30....kinda wound her up coming home. Almost got a Mellow "turkey kill" on the way back from the meet, we were coming down out of the hills just before Alpine yesterday and had 6 or 7 of them leave the ground across in front of me , felt the wing-stroke off my helmet.... how it missed the wind screen I'll never know....closed my eye's :o:.Thought that he or she, wasn't gonna get enough air and had to duck. Sure takes them a bit to get "air bourne".
Gotta brag...664.3 miles, used 12.92 gallons that equals 51.41 MPG.
No wonder some of us still enjoy the ST1100...:D

Nice shots yourself! I didn't get everything. Each photographer sees things another misses. Glad you decided to add to my shots. Thank you for the nice complement.

Thank you for the complement. I'd say you have cause to brag. I was getting over 60mpg for awhile after leaving Clifton where we filled up, but truthfully that didn't last too long. We were moving too fast. I bow to your feat. :bow1:

I've been doing this for awhile now and I have a system going that makes it pretty smooth. It helps that I only have 157 pictures to wade through, nothing like the 800+ that Carole is working with. I guess If I were riding on the back of your wing snapping shots, I'd have a lot more too.
I have to give Carole credit, we were riding pretty spirited on many occasions. I noticed that she leans well with the bike. If you were fighting any for control, I sure didn't see any evidence of that. Takes a lot of trust in your partner to allow that.
I'm really looking forward to seeing the results of all that snapping I know was going on.
From the pictures it looks like the ST1100s might have outnumbered the ST1300 at this year's 666 STOC!

Hmmmm. Hadn't thought about it.
David (been a while since I saw that SSM), Patty, George, Ed (EJST), Dan (that white is stunning) and me. Unless I forgot some body, that's the 1100s.
I think you might be right. 6 is a pretty good gathering of the 1100:) Show's that Arizona folks in general have more common sense than most!

Thank you both for the complements on the pictures.
Bob, I turned over 50,000 shortly after starting the ride, it was just east of El Centro at the intersection of Hwy 111 and I8. Wish you could have made it too. Always a pleasure riding with you Bob.
