I just wanted to say hello to everyone. I'm John from Lynchburg, VA. I've been gleeming information on this board for several months now and have finally bit the proverbial bullet and bought an 05 ST1300/non-abs from our local dealer in Lynchburg. Great price! $2K off retail for a before tax, title, and a few farkles price of $12K :D I've added the honda heated grips, the powerlet dual rear outlets, heli handlebar risers and a tank pad. I road one last week at a different location and decided I would need the risers as I'm somewhat vertically challanged. 5'8' 30" inseam. Also, have service manual and a few other items ordered from honda directline. Givi V46 will be ordered as soon as the color match is available. I currently have an 02 Honda Magna with 16K that I am trying to sell. It needs to go before I can officially take the ST home. The V4 magna is a great bike, but the ST is so much better for long rides etc. I guess I've reached "geezer" status, turning 50 this year and I need all the wind and elements protection I can get..... and still have a lot of fun. I won't have a :D to wipe off my face untill the magna is sold.....hope that happens soon. If you know of anyone that may be interested just send me an e-mail. I better stop now, I can be just a little long winded, even on paper.I hope to get to know everyone and will need some help from Mellow and anyone else on the proper protocol for forums, how to post photos etc. LittleRedST signing out.... :biker:

Regarding your Magna..place a separate post in the classified section of the forum. That should help.

Welcome Little! But I wouldn't say you are a geezer 'cause you don't want wind, bugs, dirt in your face...rather I'd say you're smart.

Make sure you hit up all the bike selling places online. Craigslist.com seems to sell bikes fairly well. And you can always try ebay.

Welcome to the wonderful world of the ST!

I like to go camping up not TOO far from where you live, on Skyline Drive at Loft Mountain Campground (mile marker 79.5). I'm thinking of heading that way late summer or early fall... maybe we could work out a "get together" sometime.

Just let me know when you plan to come through Lynchburg. The BRP is only fifteen minutes from our house. Great places to eat and even better roads for riding....... :biker:
