Hi. I am a stray. I just wandered in. Not new to ST's and not new to riding, but I am new to this forum, and I am reasonably new to CT. I moved here about a year ago.

I can honestly say I don't know anyone else with an ST! How sad is that? I have been hanging out with Beemer crowd now for a few years....They keep waiting for one my Hondas to mutate into a BMW... nope not gonna happen. I am a Honda chick. (And my final drive probably won't fail either!) I'll get a newer Honda long before I go BMW....

There is a black one in town though... anyone know of a black ST in Jewett City/ Griswold? Its newer than mine, but I am not sure if its an 1100 or a 1300.

I am already making plans to attend. Work schedule won't get written until the first of the month... but I am the one who writes it! I should be there.

Would I get made fun of if I brought some one with me that rides a BMW? I will be on my ST.

Welcome to the site. You will not be made fun of, but the Beemer rider may get a little flak. Everyone is welcome on this board and at our events. They put up with me and my Wing and KLR!!! LOL!!!

Ooohhhh man, they let KLR riders go to this thing.... maybe I should reconsider my attendance :p:

Just kidding.

I have been to so many Beemer events on my Honda I can't count. Its about time I dragged a Beemer to a Honda event. The last one I went to I was greeted with ..."hmmm an ST? Its like a Guzzi, only relaible." I nearly peed laughing.
I think of it more like a GS with a final drive I can count on.

Hi Karen, form another CT-STer. We have a small group in CT and we have already allowed one beemer rider in. We haven't had much luck convincing Nelson of the error of his way. So, welcome and hope to see you at CT-STOC.

Karen, sorry I missed you when I was in CT in May. You ever make it out west?

Anyhoo, join the crew at CT STOC. You won't be disappointed. Never been to that event but nearly every other STOC around the country. They're all about the same, i.e. GREAT!

Of course you're welcome. Former Meridener myself (we may have even crossed paths once or twice). As for Nelson the Bimmer-Boy, good luck getting him to change his mind LOL

Look to the 2009 events...CAMPSTOC and CTSTOC at the campground in Lebanon..also looking to go as a group overnight via train to the Internation Motorcycle show in NYC in January...

Its all liberated and stuff.... just in time to go "grave dancing!" know any recently dead poo heads whose grave needs a good jig? (wink wink, nudge nudge)....As rotten as it is to say, I really enjoyed reading that obit!


Ugh, I just read that intro post... I totally cursed myself... "My final drive won't fail either" proof yet again to never get cocky. It makes ya look a fool every time! But the new final drive now has 3000 new miles on it.
