Got back about a week ago from my trip to Colorado. 1500 miles out, 1500 miles of great Colorado roads, and 1500 miles back. Just got my trip report finished. Have a look. Rocky Mountain High (http://paws.wcu.edu/ra28044/kenny/) Gotta get my IB stuff sent in now.

Ain't those types of trips the BEST!!!! Especially when you have someone to share it with. If you get back out that way you need to go a little farther north and west.
Last year July, my best friend of 40 years (BMW R1150 RS) and myself (ST1100) did a 10 day 6200 mile stint through Wyoming, Montana -Glacier Nat. Park, North Idaho to Spokane, south through Idaho (some of the best biking I have ever experienced- even though it was 102 degrees), Utah, back through Colorado, North through east Wyoming to North Dakota and home to Chicago. We had talked about this trip for 20 years. Everything came together last year and we pulled the trigger. If their were more people along it would have slowed us down and we would not have accomplished or experienced what we set out to do. We saw a lot of country, experienced all types of weather and camped in the state parks or Indian reservations each night. I highly recommend making it to Glacier National Park- its 10 times the experience on a bike.
It was a joy reading your story and the pics really bring it back.
Thanks for sharing.

Loved your ride report, it brought back some very pleasant memories of the time I road there on a BMW in 1976. I'm glad you've decided to keep the ST. Despite the weight it is a better bike than the /5 I road cross country. Still miss the beemer occasionally I have to admit. Thanks for the story and the pics.

Nice report. I live in Salida- in fact you can almost see my house in shots from the top of Tenderfoot Hill!
