Sounds good to me assuming Gustav stays away this weekend. What time?

Hey all, I think I'm heading down to Orlando on Friday (unless I can get away on Thursday) then riding up to Canaveral and Grills Saturday morning. Anyone going that way, I'll meet up anywhere you like. Otherwise, . . . see ya' there.

Be advised, state route 46 is closed due to flooding. This road goes between Sanford and Mims.

Hey, Don and Bill, I had a great time sharing a lunch at Grills. It'll be a great spot to watch a launch from if it stays on schedule for blast off on the Thursday leading into FLSTOC.
Don, pass along my thanks to your wife who generously let you join us for lunch - definitely above and beyond the call - that is, unless her gift was to be rid of you for a few hours!
Bill, thanks for leading me down CR-3 - just beautiful. It was great fun! :D Hope the job situation resolves itself favorably soon!
Looking forward to seeing you both at FLSTOC if not sooner!

I would have liked to meet up with you guys but I had another committment to ride in the rain all day in Central FL. When I lived in Melbourne the Tropical Trail CR3 used be be a place one could let it out as there was nothing on it - is it all developed now?

Yep, built up end to end, but they're almost all really big properties. 45mph or less, and saw 2 Leos comign the other way. Fortuntely Bill was sanely in the lead. Sensing on the ride through was of lots of trees, beautiful homes and gorgeous water views. As land narrows down, homes are on the East side with water on West side all the way down to a turnstile bridge.
Fortunately we arrived just as it was closing back up. I wouldn't have wanted to just sit there in the sun for 15 minutes at the start of the opening. Good timing - and all the credit goes to Bill, an excellent guide.
Sorry we missed you. I caught a few hours of the rain on Sat. riding over to the Tarpon Springs area. Nothing terrible. I spent Sunday riding down to Bradenton to meet up with WestFLDon for a morning ride. Went due East to 17 then rode the backbone North to Silver Springs then on home on the "I" from there.
If I don't see you before, hope to see you at FLSTOC!
