Just above and barely ahead of the cylinder head cover on the right side of the bike, there is an adjusting knob connected to a piece of cable or tubing. I don't have a manual yet as it is not currently in print for the '05. Can one of you guys tell me what this knob is for?
Thanks!

Hot pockets on the road sounds good too! Not to mention a little less messy than strudel.

Hot Pockets and burritos in the left "hot pocket"... and if you don't want the mess from Toaster Strudells... how about Toaster Scrambles! :D

They sell a metal cannister that attaches to the exhaust expansion chamber of a snowmobile engine that you can put a sandwich, burrito, or "toaster strudel" if you will and voila! A hot snack after a couple hours of snowmobiling. Taking that concept a bit farther, for those out there with the extra hot ST1300's, I wonder if you could fashion something like that to the frame. It certainly does heat up enough. Hmmmmmm---food for thought. (pun intended)

Frame?
I thought that was what the fairing pockets were designed for.

I was doing some repairs on chef america's (they make hot pockets) building after the northridge earthquake, we leaked so hot asphalt on to the assemble line, that day we called them tar pockets.I've seen how they are made so I wouldn't eat one.

Hey never thought about that. Looks like I'll line a fairing pocket with aluminum foil and maybe keep an Egg McMuffin / Burger in there to enjoy later down the road.
I GOT IT!! Remove a fairing pocket and mount the toaster underneath the door. Then you just open the fairing pocket, pop in a strudel and then just hook up a high current switch to turn it on. If you don't want to eat it right away just close the pocket and let the engine keep it warm. ;)
That is some sweet action. Haven't found a waterproof 5" DVD player yet for the dash shelf. ;)
