Hi everyone!
I just installed this new farkle and it's caught me a lot of attention. I've even had a driver get out of her car, while stopped at a red light, to ask me where I got it so she could get one for her husband as a gift. Click on this link to see - StreetWaveZ (http://www.signwavez.com/default.asp?mess=Hi%20All!%20@St.owners.com%20%20r ocks!%20^%20signed...%20%20Big%20AL%20$@_%20%20%20 %20%20%20&type=StreetWaveZ%20Moto) -

There are 2 choices of color, Chrome and of course Black (for all you anti-chrome folks). I recommend Black as it looks fantastic on the ST's.
It also comes with a pocket programmer that holds up to 4 messages @152 letters per message. When you hit your brake all 61 LED's light up brightly to increase your visibility. In the link above, you can use this site to create and see what your messages will look like before you download it to the pocket programmer

The cheapest price I could find it is at CycleGadgets.com (http://www.cyclegadgets.com/Products/product.asp?Item=SWVZ) at about $159.95 + $7.00 shipping
Most other places are asking for $200+ for this unit.

Happy Farkling

I saw one of those quite a while ago. If it wasn't for the price I'd have one already. I could get in a lot of trouble with one of those!

Real cool, but the price puts it out of reach this year. Farkling put a real dent in my budget!! :(

I've thought about that but it would just get me in trouble. I don't need anyone tailgating me either.

...unless they want to have a closer look at the ST :D

Whitehorse sells one that doesn't make you look like you just stepped off the set of Battlestar Galactica: http://www.whitehorsepress.com/product_info.php?products_id=5361

StreetWaveZ looks like a quicker way to get rearended, than going to prison.

When people focus on reading things ahead of them, they tend to not stop, when you do.

Those are really cool but I've always had the same concerns as already mentioned. Probably no different that someone trying to read the letters on a license plate frame or small letters on a bumper sticker.

I wonder if it does icons (avatars)?

I'm not sure, but I think I read where that type of device was illegal in Texas.

I share all the same safety concerns as everyone else. The unit comes with a keychain remote called a RAT that you can program up to 4 messages with. I leave one blank and use it for everyday use. When I apply the brake, all 61 LED's light up. This adds to my visibility without giving something to draw the attention away from the driver behind me. I use messages for special occasions like, riding in group events, parades, rallys, etc. It's a great conversation piece. - It's use is legal here in Massachusetts.

Rather than going with a blank display - program a series of dashes that repeat, I find this adds to your visibility by having some light in motion, kinda like a Knightrider or Cylon thing.
My current and favorite message is " Put down the friggin cellphone and pay attention !!"

Pretty cool.

However, I don't do stickers or anything else on the back of my vehicles which could cause distraction. Just my .02
