Let's see who has... or will be taking these courses.

I never took beginners course. Went straight to the ERC. Took it May of 1990 in Germany. Our instructors weren't going to make us do the figure 8 because one guy had a ZX-11 (that was the biggest sport bike at the time) and another a Goldwing. The instructors had a silverwing and CB900. The instructors traded bikes with those guys and did it on their first try. So, we ended up doing it. I actually think that was one of my favorite parts besides counter steering.

We took the ERC course a couple months ago. I say we because it is now offered 2-up. It makes a lot of sense since we always ride 2-up.

I have taught both.
Both highly recommended, especially for newbies and riders of large bikes.
There has been large amount of 40 to 50 yr.olds either returning to riding or going through a midlife crisis and buying Harleys. It`s amazing what they don`t know.

I took the ERC a few years ago. I'll probably take it again in the next year or so. It seems like it would be good to refresh it every few years.

I took the MSF course. One of the coolest bike experiences for me. Besides the obvious reasons, I took it for eassier way to obtain the DL....

It was funny, because I was rolling to class on my new CBR1000F (back in '94), to ride the course on the CB250..... :D

Other pour souls were riding 150 cc bikes.... :biker:

I recomend it to anyone !

I have taken both the RSS & ERC (Twice), & I'm a former MSF instructor. I've just taken the ERC again (anytime you change bikes its a good idea to retake the course - especially since you can get a rebate from mother Honda

Both my wife and I took the MSF course (her during the warm summer, me during the rainy Seattle winter (sucked big time)). One of the best investments for both of us. We had different, but great instructors and felt we learned a lot.

I'd love to invest in one of the 2-3 day riding schools. Biggest problem is finding the time. Another good reason to retire again.

I took the MSF course about 2 month after I bought my first ride which was a Honda Silver Wing 600 scooter. Now before you laugh, I still have it and love it. Although I ride the ST 1300 about 10 - 1 over the Silver Wing. I just cant bring myself to get rid of it.
Anyway, I would go to the course on the Silver Wing and rode the 250s they had for the training. One day, one of the other students pulled in on a Silver Wing as well. He was about 19 or 20. I was 37 at the time. I asked how he liked it. He was quick to point out it was his mother's and he was borrowing it. Oh well, maybe that had something to do with me getting the ST. :D

I leared a lot from the course and still try to practice what I learned when I can.
