Hi Guys,

I noticed something interesting on the bike, wonder if anyone else seen this.

I keep my bike in my backyard, since my house does not have a garage. I always cover the bike with the tarp overnight that's the best I can do. Anyways.

When I arrive home, I always back the bike into the yard since the yard slightly slants towards the house, it is also easier to just drive her out in the morning.

Here is the interesting thing I noticed.

When I start backing up the bike, the rear brake light stays on untill I press the footbreak, then it goes out and comes on only if the breaks are used - as it is normal. It's like the rear brake light acts as the reverse light on cars that comes on only if the car is put into reverse.

Anyone else noticed this ?

Is this normal or should I just sell the bike right away ?

When you guys try it out,

do not use the foot break initially, start backing up the bike and use the hand break, then put down the side stand leave her runniing and go check the rear light, for me it stays on, untill I depress the foot break. Then everything goes back to normal.

Mine doesn't do that... I keep mine in the garage. I back her out using hand brake... side stand down. Then I start putting on gear while I walk around bike checking her out :D with joy. No brake light.

I back my bike into the garage every day and this never happens. Sounds like a sticky switch on your front brake lever. Might want to make sure you don't have some gunk built up in the brake lever's pivot and if that doesn't resolve it, get it to your dealer.
