I Just got back from a great ride last night. 10 days & 3100 miles; Two-up camping the entire trip.
Highlights: Pagosa Springs,Co. then to Silverton/Ouray and up to Vernal, Ut.
through Flaming Gorge and up to Grand Teton/Yellowstone for a day.
We camped north of Alpine Jct,Wy on the Snake river. Saw a cow moose when we woke up in the morning....saw a grizzly bear outside of the east exit on our way towards Cody,Wy. at the end of the day (I'm still psyched about that).
While in the park, we stopped to see some of the geysers & take pictures. We had been off the bike for about 30 minutes when this guy came up and told me that ravens had been "attacking" my tank bag. On my way towards the parking lot several other people told me about the ravens going after my tankbag. Funny thing is ....I didn't have any food in it. Some of the contents were on the ground next to the bike; the only thing missing was a souvenier shot glass (oh well--live and learn).
In Cody we stopped at the Buffalo Bill Historical Center for about four hours...Awesome!!! We visited the Buffalo Bill museum, the Plains Indians museum and the Firearms museum. There was more to see & do there than I would have ever imagined.
Then we crossed Wyoming to Casper and took I-25 through Colorado down to Las Vegas, New Mexico. Finally Backroads back home to Presidio,Tx.
