Just returned from the ride out west, happy to report that all went well, no incidents at all. Four of us left at 7 am last thursday, three on 1800 wings and myself on the ST. 4,157 miles total, used 80.84 gallons of gas for an average of 51.42mpg, got as high as 56 and as low as 41. Premium gas averaged out to $2.59 per gallon, paid as high as $2.80 and as low as $2.23, and the weather was HOT for this yooper. Had 101 degrees in Clarkston for a high, mostly we were in the high 90s. Glacier was cool in the early part of the day, but as we left it got warmer. We rode some very nice country along several rivers and had very little traffic for most of our ride which was very nice. We had no rain at all for the ride which was also nice. Bugs on the front of the bike are another matter. 11,000 miles on the scoot now, still original front tire, and it has some thread left yet to the wear bars, rear is still good but was replaced as the original picked up a nail at 3500 miles.

Great pics, would love to go Glaicer again on the ST, was there 4 years ago and had a blast on the wing, so sure you had a great time.

Is that a Corbin seat, if so how did you like it on your trip. I just ordered a front only Corbin.
Pictures are great, look forward to do a trip like that one of these days. Glad trip went so smoothly for you.

I'd sure like to know how you got such good gas mileage. I did a 1500 mile ride and averaged 41 mpg.

I just returned from a trip out to new mexico and colorado averaged a little better than 52mpg all calculations done using GPS mileage and gallons used, not the one on the bike. I normally don't drive more than 5 to 7 mph over the posted limit and don't do the super slab unless necessary, got the same type of mileage out of my 96 ST1100.
