Greetings!

I am leading a ride for my local SCRC chapter this Sunday the 21st of August. Thought I would give everyone here an open invite to join us on this 175 mile, 5 hours of riding time (not counting stops), Sundae on Sunday ride.

Here is a cut-n-paste of my post in the SCRC forum:

1472.1 (http://forums.delphiforums.com/SCRCGB/messages?msg=1472.1) Greetings!

Felt like doing a shorter ride this time :) Most of the roads I have used on my other rides before, just not on the same ride and/or in this combination. There will also be a few roads that will be new to my rides, and probably to you too.

Here is a link for this ride's route:

Participating in this ride (or any ride posted on this board) means you have read, understood and agreed to the riding rules posted at this link:

http://www.scrcgb.org/ridingrules.htm (http://www.scrcgb.org/ridingrules.htm)

What, you may ask, are difficulty ratings? Click on this link for a listing of all the ride types/ratings:

**Pre-Ride Meeting Time: 10:00am, Sunday, August 21st

*Kick Stands Up: 10:15am
*Meeting Spot: Hess Gas Station, 17100 US-41 at the intersection of US-41 & Crenshaw Lake Rd
*Ending Spot: Wesley Chapel Dairy Queen on SR-56
*Ride Rating: 3 stars, The ride will include some very nice back roads with curvy/twisty sections. This will be a "relax and enjoy the day" type ride, although many of the roads will need skills. Rain or shine, within reason.

Some of the roads on the route will most likely include Crenshaw Lake, Gunn, South Mobley, Patterson, Boy Scout, Crawley, Crescent, Lutz Lake Fern, Crooked Ln, Crystal Lake, Newberger, Parkway Blvd, Ehren Cutoff, Belamy Brothers, Church Rd, Hayman, Powell, Trilby Rd, Jessamine, St Joe, Prospect, and Old Pasco among others.

About a total of 175 miles and 5hrs of riding time plus stops. We will stop about 4hrs into the ride to eat at Lindsey's Mall, they have a good Deli Shop.

Some of the roads are of the typical low maintainence way back country roads variety. If you ride with-in yourself and always keep in mind the sight distances and keep your spacing with other riders at reasonable distances (including through the turns), all should be well.

There will also be stretches of highway speed riding, even though not on a highway. Some of the main connecting roads we will be using have high limits and high speeds and we use those roads from time to time to get from backroad to backroad.

As always, for any summer Florida ride, please be sure to bring with you some water if you have the storage space
