Got a new Shoei x-11 helmet and I wanted to add some reflective tape since the majority of my riding is at night and early morning before sunrise. Anyone have suggestions for the pattern? Thanks John.

I think anything but a target would be fine.:D

Seriously, just make sure that you have it on all side since the demons tend to come at you from all angles at nite.

Aerostitch has the reflective arrows you put on each side , so when you look over your shoulder to switch lanes the arrow reflects in the direction of travel. Almost a second blinker at night.

Thanks for the input. Good stuff. I bought some of the SOLAS tape from Aerostich...will try to make a nice pattern. 2" strips seem too thick for the curved surface. I may just cut it down to 1" and put it around the bottom.

In case you're not aware, helmet manufacturers do not advise putting on any stickers on the helmets as the adhesive may eat into the surface, w/c in turn will eventually affect the integrity of the helmet.

That's got to be legalease. AFAIK most helmets are either polycarbonate or frp. The acrylic adhesive on reflective tape is fine.

one rainy day and a pair of scissors
