Al Lambs Dallas Honda, Well I am in the Market for 2 new bikes. I went to Al Lambs to test ride a new CBR 600RR, I looked at them and saw they had one serviced with a "TEST RIDE" tag on it. I asked my Salesman "Ryan" If I could test ride this, as I was intrested in this and an ST1300. He said I dont think we can find the Key. And completely blew me off. I went back the next day and asked again, He said we do not have the key, and did not even raise up from cleaning a bike. This is not the only one they have! The last bike I purchased from them I paid cash for, over 10k. I am sure glad they are making so much money they do not need my 20k. I will make it a point to let everyone I know that is intrested in purchasing a new bike, of my experience.

Todd,

What you need to do is email your post to the owner of the shop along with a link to this site. If he does not have email take in a copy of the post and hand it to him, but wait till we all post about this subject.

It just amazes me that when someone is willing to hand over 20K nobody wants to take it.

If the owner of the shop knows his employees are treating prespective buyers this way you think he would take corrective action. If not, someone else will take your $$$$$$

That is exactly what I am going to do. I am going to write a letter and hand it to him personally. That way I know he has received it, and he cannot deny it. These are the things that give dealers bad names. In fact I met with my local MTA saturday, and one of the members is also intrested in a new ST1300 ABS, he asked me if we bought 2 together could we get a better deal. I would not consider Al Lambs, because of this un-professional treatment. So Actually this could have been almost 40k sale for this person.
2 st1300 abs's and a CBR600RR.

This is the reason I went out of state to buy my 05 ST1300. No dealer around my area was willing to deal and had the take it or leave it attitude. The dealer in my home town (that I used to work for) wouldn't even deal. I drove 2 hours to Altus, OK to Altus Motorsports and saved a load of money. ($12,000.00 for a non-abs) Call and ask for George, he's the owner. They are only 2 1/2 hours from the DFW area. 888-477-1500 www.altusmotorsports.com :bow1:

If a place has a reputation for nasty service I suggest not bothering trying to fix it, go some where else until their reputation changes for the better.

The sales department and the service departments are seperate profit centers at many dealerships.
And IMHO dealing on price is not the same thing as bad, poor, rude or no service at all, which is what I have received from the sales area at Town and Country Mesa AZ.

239 miles by mapquest... isn't Austin in the foothills (and hence cooler)?
:-)
I have 8 Honda MC $Tealers who are within 30 miles, so get to choose between them...
If only I had the money to buy as many bikes as are described [maligned?] on these pages... :D

Heck, if you're coming down here, I'll buy you a drink. You could even do an overnighter at my house, just let me know so I can tell my SWAMBO.

I've only been to Pasedena Honda twice (Houston). And they were nice. The service department also was nice enough to explain in detail everything they knew about the ST. (what was nice is that I had done my research here before hand and it was good to see the service department knew a majority of the issues and/or complaints).

I suspect I'll give them a try for my service. And someday, should I buy a new ST after I've put 250,000 miles on my current one, I might actually seeing what they have to offer.

Espresso for you and a couple of cold ones :D The girl the rides the ST1100 and teaches the MSF course gets "serviced" at Pasadena Honda. Talked highly of them. ;)

I'd go to Honda of Houston before Pasadena... closer to you... newer... nicer facilities... Then Blumax and I can come over and pester you :D I just know Blu takes his there and have heard really good things about them... :) I've heard good and bad about Pasadena Honda... then again, opinions are like you know what's. I read an article about 2 years ago that rated dealerships/service departments in Texas... HoH was rated in the top 10 along with Wild West in service for imported bikes.... I think it was in Texmoto.

I took mine to Wild West in Katy when I had to have her fixed up(bought her there too). Had all of my service on my Sabre done there as well... Blu doesn't like them... lddave seems to like them though(you might PM him and get his take on them). I've always been treated really well there and was told exactly what they were doing... It's nowhere near as nice and as big as HoH!

More info than you wanted to know...
