I just ordered the fairing extenders (deflectors) from Honda Direct. Heat wasn't terrible on my '05, but I thought if I could make it better, I would. How does everyone that has them, like them ? Are they hard to install ?

I put'em on a while back. I've never had a heat issue with my bike, and I couldn't tell any difference with the deflectors on or off. I just like the way they look. Easy to install, get some extra alcohol wipes to REALLY clean the area where the sticky stuff does it's sticky thing. (technical term) and just follow the destructions. :D

I had a bit of warmth off the heads on occasion without the extenders, never felt any at all after installing. I sweated getting the stuff lined up right, but it was easier than I thought. You can get some extra alchohol at the hardware store if you want.

Tim's right, clean the areas really well is the key to stickage. I had them on my '03, very good weather protection, some heat reduction. Decided not to put them on my '05 as yet, just like the cleaner look. :)
