Got a chance to ride with a local goldwing chapter today and met Putt on the river. I'm on the left.

Where on the river were you? I lived in Memphis a few years and never saw the river look that blue unless I used a polorized filter over the lense :)

I have run into a couple of the guys that I see on this board. It is a really neat experience!!

It was in Moline, IL.

How did the Guard base stand up to the BRAC there in Ft. Smith? I spent a week there back in 93. Is that brewery restuarant still there? The best German food I ever had was at that Mom and Pop German restuarant there. Okay, except in Germany itself.

I had forgotten about having some of the best German food that I've ever had, was in Ft. Smith. Was there in the early 90's at the Baldor plant and some of the employee's took me there one evening. Thanks for the comment about it.

Wonder why the Mississippi is so blue down there? Don't think I've ever seen it that color up this way.

It's simple... The river was trying to match the color of the fastest ST's
Biddy and my 04 ST's :)

The 188th is still here so far. The city sent a deligation to make a presentation to the BRAC folks for leaving the base alone. Also, the city is watching the challanges that other areas are making as to whether the closures are legal.
I am afraid the German restuarant is out of business.
