I have an Escort Passport 8500 x50 in my car, and I'd like to use it on the bike. I decided to modify the excellent idea from Joema to connect a LED to the audio jack of the detector. Instead of connecting the LED close to the detector, I built a little adaptor, which I then connected to an extension cord which connects to the detector's audio jack. I have a cheesy mount on the windshield - may improve on that, but right now I absolutely CANNOT MISS the radar when it goes off even if I am focused fully on the road, in bright daylight. This cheap LED is nice, but it has to be aligned with my line of sight, so I wanted to mounted higher. You can see the pics of my little farkle below.

You can find Joama's description of his invention here:

I am happy - if anyone had a more elegant idea for attaching this little device to the windshield, please let me know!

Well, I don't plan to speed, but I feel good that I can finally use the 8500 on the bike.

Nice, Paco!

But I'll just pipe the audio into my intercom system. That way I'm sure not to miss the alert even if I'm looking off for a few seconds. ;)
