Ok all you rocket scientists out there in farkleland, I need your combined wisdom. I installed the Honda fairing deflector set & knee pads a while back and its not holding up well where the kneepad contacts the fairing extension. That’s rubber on rubber and the 2-sided tape on the knee pad is not sticking to the extension . What would you guys recommend I use to get these two surfaces to love each other?

Have not Charlie. Thought I'd check in here to see if anybody had a better solution. I assumed that tape was not the answer but more of the problem. Does 3M make a better qc tape?

3M makes some tough double-sided rubber like tape. There's clear for indoors and gray for outdoors. I use the outdoor stuff and it works great, just prep both surfaces before you stick it on.

Big hardware stores should carry it.

What Curt said - 3D tape will hold it, and hold it tight. Just clean the plastic really good with alcohol - and don't try to remove it once you stick it (make sure you get it in the right place on the first shot).

And it'll stick.

:bow1: Thank you gentlemen, I will look into some better tape. Hopefully that fixes it.
