Dick is a great guy and nice to deal with. He hooked me up with the mount and it was here in a couple days. I drilled some more holes for the mount holes I needed but this thing is solid and now the GPS does not move around nearly as much as with the old rammount. The rammount is great but the shelf can only take so much leverage.

I can think of a few improvements that could be done to the Seng mount but there things you can do yourself too so I liked the design because it gave the flexibility to do what I wanted to do with it. I drilled holes in a pattern that lets me use either flange as the mount. I could also drill other holes in the long flange to raise or lower the GPS. I think I might lower it some in the future but for now I can put the windsheild all the way down and it doesn't hit although I did take my time and try several tests to make sure that it didn't. Having it mounted with a rammount gave me the time also to figure out where I wanted the angle to be.

The mount is machined well but I would rather have had it black powder coated. Doesn't matter though because I prefer this over my old rammount setup.

I attached some pics of it. If you want one they are $40 from Dick Seng.
